About YavaDog
Yavadog is a daycare and training business founded by Roland Nahapetian. Built on more than a decade of hands‑on dog training and years of volunteering with local rescues, Yavadog provides safe, respectful care centered on positive‑reinforcement methods.
Roland and his team of skilled kennel technicians and experienced trainers offer individualized attention through daycare, training, education, and retail services. Located to serve nearby business districts and residential neighborhoods, the facility emphasizes strong safety standards and thoughtful programming.
Beyond services, Yavadog is committed to community education—helping owners better care for their pets—and to special programs that support children with special needs. The goal is simple: strengthen the bond between people and their dogs while improving outcomes for pets across the community.
Roland's story
When my son Nicholas was diagnosed with autism at four, my focus shifted entirely to supporting him. In my search for effective tools, I discovered how dogs can positively impact children with autism. As a dog lover, I was eager to get a service dog, but Nicholas initially struggled with extreme fear and anxiety around them.
Determined to help him, I decided to bring home a puppy—Messi. This choice transformed our lives. Slowly, Nicholas began to bond with Messi, overcoming his fears and developing a deep friendship. Now 19, he is a passionate dog lover who confidently engages with dogs.
This journey inspired me to launch Yavadog, a dog daycare and training facility focused on positive reinforcement. Our mission is to educate, engage, and empower individuals, changing lives through the bond with dogs. I also hope to expand Yavadog into a nonprofit, providing service and therapy dogs to children on the spectrum and those with PTSD. With the right training, dogs become friends, family, and invaluable support for those in need.
